Our Team

Kevin uses his extensive understanding of the environmental and land-based sector, to further Lantra’s remit in Wales.

After graduating from the University of Reading with a BSc in Agriculture, he worked on training secondments within major East Anglia and Kent horticultural businesses before returning to Wales to take up a series of agricultural and environmental posts with the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.

Kevin next worked within the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) and Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) in various strategic and funding roles associated with Farming Connect and the Horticulture and Organic Strategies for Wales.

Kevin joined Lantra from the Welsh College of Horticulture, having previously managed an Interreg Horticultural Business development project with partners in Ireland.

Sarah started working with Lantra in 2005 as a Research Co-ordinator and has grown into her current position as Project Manager for Tyfu Cymru: Growing Wales. Through this project their aim is to support and facilitate commercial horticulture businesses to be more productive, profitable and prepared for challenges ahead.

Proud of her Lancashire roots, she grew up thinking soil was always black and carrots covered in mud! Sarah moved away to study at Warwickshire Agricultural College, Moreton Morrell and then to pursue Post Grad studies at Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester.

After five years working in industry, she undertook teaching roles in Further Education at Pencoed and Reaseheath College then finished her teaching career as Head of Department in Wiltshire College.

Alice joined Lantra in December 2016 bringing with her experience from Wales Community Food Co-ops working with growers and suppliers across Wales, building capacity within local supply chains.

In her role as Development Officer with Tyfu Cymru Alice supports commercial horticulture businesses to be more productive, profitable and prepared for challenges ahead.

She brings a diverse skill set to develop the project and grower businesses within Tyfu Cymru with a career background in HR Business Partnering including business development, organisational design, policy, resourcing and talent mapping, employee relations and engagement.

In her spare time she is a keen cook and runs a pop bistro, championing use of Welsh produce and enjoys all that Pembrokeshire offers.

Laura started working with Lantra in December 2017 as a Finance Co-Ordinator. She is responsible for the monthly financial summaries as well as the future projections for all the projects in Wales.

Laura brings with her 20 years of experience working within the finance industry and before joining Lantra Laura worked for a diverse range of organisations within the public and private sectors. Laura specialises in setting up new financial processes and balancing reconciliations which she has undertaken for several companies including HM Prison Service, Ministry of Justice and the Home Office.

In her spare time Laura is the sole organiser of the Food and Drink exhibition in the Food Hall on behalf of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society for the three main show events. This includes recruiting and managing exhibitors, liaising with contractors, Environmental Health, Welsh Government and the Press.
